April is the USDA’s Invasive Plant and Pest Disease Awareness Month. Each year during April, the USDA amplifies its public outreach about the risks invasive plant pest, diseases and harmful weeds pose to America’s crops and forests along with how the public can prevent their spread. Greg Rosenthal, Public Affairs Specialist, USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, says the public can help protect commercial crops.
The United States Department of Agriculture has proclaimed April as Invasive Plant Pest and Disease Awareness month.
