The high-speed rail project would connect San Francisco to Los Angeles, and provide commuters with a ride that takes just under 3 hours. But, it cuts through the ag land in Central California, and several farmers and others in the ag industry are upset with the effects it they believe it will have the state’s agriculture.
Diana Gomez is the Central Valley regional Director for the California High Speed Rail Authority.

Agriculture and the high-speed rail was the topic at a recent Fresno Grizzlies Farm Forum. Three speakers were present, including Gomez, Walnut grower and Kings County Supervisor Doug Verboon, and Fresno County Supervisor Henry Perea.
