IPM Specialist Walter Bentley spoke to almond growers last week, and told them not to trust the May spray as their complete Navel Orangeworm management.
He says the May spray is still valuable – especially when it does a very good job in reducing the Navel Orangeworm population. But he says hull spilt is when the crop faces the real danger.
