California Almond prices are expected to climb as worldwide demand continues to put pressure on limited supply.

The president and CEO of Blue Diamond Growers, Mark Jansen says last year’s almond crop will be less than 1.85 billion pounds.
That’s a lot less than earlier industry estimates just over two billion pounds.
Meanwhile, with strong shipments and limited supply, almond inventories are shrinking.
Jansen updates the almond outlook with an online message for growers.
The entire U-S almond crop is grown here in California…which generates about four billion dollars. And California almonds make up 80-percent of the entire world almond production.
