Everett Griner talks about consumption of seafood increasing in today’s Agri View.

Are you eating enough fish? A recent study shows that Americans are eating more fish than ever. Now that doesn’t mean that there is a lot of seafood on the table two or three times a week. In fact the figures are a big surprise. On the average we consume an estimated fifteen pounds of fresh, frozen or canned seafood a year. Now that sounds like a lot. It breaks down to about five ounces per week. It is a wide variety of what is consumed. Freshly caught is near the bottom of the list. Frozen is near the top. Salt water, or ocean fish, is more common than fresh water variety. Health officials think that all of us should eat more fish. It is rated high on the health food list. I would like to see one distinction made between seafood and fish. Because nearly half of all the fish consumed never saw the sea.

That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner.

  1. Hello, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog site in Opera, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, amazing blog!

  2. I have to show my love for your kind-heartedness for those who should have guidance on your issue. Your very own commitment to getting the message all-around ended up being exceedingly informative and has without exception allowed girls like me to arrive at their objectives. Your amazing important guideline implies much to me and somewhat more to my office colleagues. With thanks; from everyone of us.
