Everett Griner talks about a look at the political changes ahead for farmers in today’s Agri View.
You know I try to avoid political matters but at times it is worth looking into. You know in the past year of hard campaigning there has been little concern about agriculture.
But you can be sure that the new administration will involve farmers in dealing with two matters.
Look for government control of flowing water to undergo some significant changes. Those changes will involve farmers.
And farmers will very likely be involved in changes that regulate migrant labor. It is too soon to know what changes we can expect but agriculture officials have already made it known that there will be changes.
And foreign trade is expected to claim a lot of attention. Especially where agriculture is involved.
The next farm bill will be more of a ‘farmer’ bill.
That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner.
